Message From Greg Harrell
"To all of those who worked so hard to get us through the just-concluded Republican primary election, thank you! Those of you who walked neighborhoods; who called their friends; who greeted voters at the polling places; who prayed for Marietta and I; who offered counsel and wisdom and encouragement; and who supported the campaign in so many other ways, thank you!
We came so very close to prevailing outright on March 5. But we failed to reach the required fifty percent plus one vote majority required, so we are now in a runoff election. I have no doubt that when the votes are counted at the end of runoff election day on May 28, victory will be secured and I will be declared Hood County GOP Chair-elect.
In the interim, let’s press on to the win. Here’s how I’d like to start – as you drive through your neighborhood, take note of every home that is displaying a Greg Harrell campaign sign. Please stop and explain to your neighbor that we are in a runoff, and then ask them two questions:
1 – Are you willing to leave the yard sign displayed until the runoff election at the end of May?
2 – Will you please go back to the polls to vote for Greg Harrell in May?
If the answer to both questions is ‘Yes’, please try to get the voter’s name and phone number – I’d like to personally reach out to each of them.
Finally, we will be back to a full-on effort as we get closer to the runoff date. In the interim, please continue to support the Greg Harrell for Hood County GOP Chair campaign by completing the “Get Involved” form here on our site."
